Don’t Drink … Bet

If you prefer to indulge in a drink every now and then, keep your cash at home if you plan to do your drinking in a brick and mortar betting house. I’m not joking. clean out your billfold, your wallet, and leave all money, credit cards and chequebooks at home. Take just the cash you are planning to use on beverages, tipping and whatever loose coins you plan on loosing and keep the rest behind.

Contemptuous? Not really. Realistic more like. You may well discover a success after a boozy evening out with your buddies and be fortunate enough to hit a marathon roll at a hot craps table. Hang on to that account because it’s as short-lived as it gets if you constantly drink and gamble. The two simply don’t mix.

Leaving your money at home is a bit dramatic, however precautionary measures for dramatic behavior is proportionate and necessary. If you bet to win, then don’t consume alcohol and wager. If you are able to manage to throw away your cash without a second thought, then drink all the no charge booze your gut can handle, but do not take credit cards and checks to toss into the mix of going after losses once your inebriated brain throws away all the cash!
